Alpha Video's Sports & Entertainment Group Is Selected to Integrate HuskerVision HD Production Facilities at the University of Nebraska
State-of-the-art high definition technology to be integrated into several facilities at the University

Minneapolis, MN, March 20, 2009– Alpha Video's Sports & Entertainment Group, the leading national integrator and specialist for the sports and entertainment industry, is excited to announce that it has been selected by the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (UNL) to provide and integrate the new HD production facilities for HuskerVision. The high definition system will feature a tapeless, file-based workflow centered on Panasonic's P2 format and production equipment from Harris, EVS, Apple and others. The system will also tie directly into HuskerVision's media asset management and archival system, a project that was completed by Alpha Video Sports in the summer of 2008.

The University chose Alpha Video Sports because they wanted a system that could drive their five LED video screens at Memorial Stadium, two LED video screens at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, and a studio that HuskerVision uses to produce a variety of productions, including coaches' shows for five sports - all in HD. The system, including the P2 equipment, will also be used to provide video support for all twenty-three of Nebraska's varsity sports. Alpha will work with the University to integrate a system that will be completed in July 2009, in time for the 2009/2010 sports season.
